Religious holidays

Religion is a very important part of Greek life and culture, and this is easily understood if you take into account the hundreds of churches and monasteries that exist in every corner of Greece. Both this and Halkidiki are cradles of the religious culture and history of Central Macedonia over the centuries, as they have many churches and religious monuments with impressive history and religious significance. In fact, if you are lucky enough to visit them during the Easter period or on the 15th of August, you will experience a very immersive atmosphere and you will have the opportunity to get to know many of the customs that accompany these holidays.
